Enhancements to APSA F.E. code.

 

The work was devoted principally to the replacement of the solution and assembling routines of APSA finite element code, with another package developed by Tesys, not suffering of bandwidth limitations and having algorithms of band minimization, node renumbering and sparse matrix management (see: M. Dessì and P. Priolo – An active areas bandsolver for the resolution of moderately large systems of equations. Computers & Structures – Pergamon, June 1980).
