Structural analyses of the filling equipment of Ariane 5
solid propellant boosters.

 

This equipment is composed by different structures employed in the casting phase of the solid propellant filling the Ariane 5 boosters (pin, casting vessel, forming plate, handling ring, interface rings, equipment for pin extraction). Thermal and pressure loads were considered.
